Nike has recently announced the highly anticipated return of the classic 2006 sneaker, the Nike Air Foamposite ProDr. Doom, expected to officially debut during the holiday season of 2026. This launch not only celebrates the 20th anniversary of this shoe inspired by the Marvel universe but also aligns perfectly with the upcoming release of the new Marvel filmAvengers: Doomsday.
According to Sneaker Files, this retro version retains the classic black and white color scheme, featuring a matte black Foamposite upper paired with leather eyelets and a mesh tongue. The midfoot is reinforced with a carbon fiber support plate for added stability. Overall, the design showcases striking white details, including the Swoosh logo and lining, creating a bold contrast.
It's worth mentioning that the 2026 reissue has undergone meticulous structural adjustments, making the Swoosh logo more prominent, while the overall silhouette is now closer to the original design shape. This sneaker makes a comeback to the fashion scene, following its 2016 reissue that celebrated the tenth anniversary of its launch.
