Recently, CNCPTS Creative Director Deon Point unveiled their new collaboration with New Balance, focusing on the New Balance 1000 model. This serves as a spiritual successor to the classic 998 “C-Note,” with the fresh “Mile” theme design inspired by the $1,000 bill from 1890.
This rare banknote fetched an astonishing price of over $3 million at an auction in 2014, and among the only two left in the world, its front red stamp inspired the color scheme for this collaboration, showcased in the vibrant pink accents on the shoe’s forefoot and tongue branding. Furthermore, this New Balance 1000 features a richly layered patchwork design, incorporating various shades of green and cream details, further paying homage to the classic currency.
It’s worth mentioning that the release of this collaboration coincides perfectly with St. Patrick’s Day. CNCPTS will officially drop on March 14th, and they will hold an in-store raffle prior to the release date to meet the expectations of sneaker enthusiasts.
