At the recent summit on the development of all-solid-state batteries in China, BYD revealed that it will launch an electric vehicle equipped with all-solid-state batteries in 2027, with a priority application in luxury brands such as Denza and Yangwang. Initially, sulfide-based solid-state batteries will be used, with large-scale production expected in the 2030s.

At the globally anticipated CES 2025 event, Sony in partnership with Honda’s Sony Honda Mobility, unveiled their brand new all-electric vehicle, AFEELA 1, for the first time. This electric vehicle is available in a base model priced at $89,900 and a premium model at $102,900, equipped with the advanced AFEELA Intelligence Drive system to ensure a safe driving experience.
According to the latest data, Tesla produced 1,773,443 electric vehicles in 2024, slightly fewer than BYD’s 1,777,965 vehicles. This year was particularly challenging for Tesla as it experienced its first sales decline in a decade.
Volkswagen recently had a data breach due to improper cloud server settings, resulting in the leak of precise location data for over 800,000 electric vehicles, affecting several European countries. The leaked information includes driving routes, parking locations, and the personal data of vehicle owners, posing a threat to their privacy.
