Breitling recently held a launch event for its new Superocean Heritage collection on a yacht in Victoria Harbour, seamlessly blending the vibrant culture of Hawaiian surfing with urban seaside landscapes to create a relaxed summer vibe. Watch enthusiasts and media were invited to get an up-close look at the new Superocean Heritage dive watch series. The event also showcased a sunglasses collection created in collaboration with Cutler and Gross, continuing the brand’s distinctive identity in its ocean-themed offerings.

The all-new Superocean Heritage collection continues the classic aesthetic that first emerged in 1957, with an enhanced focus on balanced proportions and user-friendly design. The series offers a diverse range of sizes, including 44mm, 42mm, 40mm, and 36mm options. Among them, the chronograph features the brand’s self-made Caliber 01 movement, while the automatic versions are equipped with the new in-house B31 three-hand movement, ensuring stable timekeeping and reliable durability. The color palette primarily features black, blue, and green, complemented by matching ceramic bezels that enhance scratch resistance. Additionally, there are slimmer metal woven bracelets or rubber straps that conform to the wrist’s curve, secured with a folding clasp for a comfortable fit.

The dial design features the brand’s signature arrow-shaped hour hand, spear-shaped minute hand, and pointed hour markers, ensuring clear readability. A date window is positioned at six o’clock, creating a more balanced overall layout. Some styles specifically incorporate a traceable 18K rose gold bezel, adding a touch of metallic luster that perfectly complements casual and seaside outfits.
This limited edition from the series pays tribute to the surfing legend Kelly Slater, featuring a dial adorned with patterns reminiscent of tropical leaf shadows. The case back is engraved with One of 500 and Kelly Slater’s exclusive limited edition collection, and each watch comes with a special display box along with options for either a blue rubber woven strap or a stainless steel woven bracelet. These details echo the vibrant atmosphere of Hawaiian surfing culture.

The Cutler and Gross collaboration sunglasses on display incorporate elements from the Superocean Heritage watch, featuring details like fluorescent paint accents on the temple ends and Milanese-style engraved metal core wires, reflecting the craftsmanship of woven watch bands. The collection offers options in metal frames, eco-friendly acetate frames, and mixed styles, with each model limited to 500 pairs. The lens colors include smoky gray, blue, gray-pink, and green, making them perfect for both seaside and urban styles.
