Introducing the Limited Edition Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly by H Moser & Cie and Alpine F1

Introducing the Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly, a collaborative timepiece created by the high-end independent watchmaker H. Moser & Cie. and Alpine F1’s French driver Pierre Gasly. Gasly, the first active F1 driver to partake in designing a timepiece for H. Moser, infuses a dose of motorsport culture into the watch while reinterpreting the brand’s classic design through his personal taste. From the material of the case to the configuration of the movement and the naming of the dial colors, every detail has been led by him, showcasing his profound attention to structure, symmetry, and emotional connection.

The brand new wristwatch features the iconic pillow-shaped case of the Streamliner series, boasting a sleek and futuristic design. Crafted from 5N rose gold, it has a diameter of 40 mm and a thickness of 12.1 mm, showcasing a rounded sapphire crystal glass and a transparent case back for a perfectly balanced overall appearance. The dial is adorned with a unique chocolate smoked tone, personally named by Pierre, making its debut within the brand. It reveals a warm yet deep interplay of light and shadow. The sunburst texture combined with a transparent lacquered brand logo creates a subtle yet distinctive visual focal point.

The brand’s iconic flying tourbillon is positioned at the 6 o’clock mark, featuring their in-house HMC 805 automatic movement. This movement boasts a dual hairspring structure to enhance the symmetrical operation and stability of the balance wheel. With a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of at least three days, it is equipped with a red gold openworked rotor and the brand’s signature double stripe decorative bridges. The case back showcases a sapphire crystal, fully displaying the architectural structure and openwork layers of the movement.

As a design participant, Pierre invested immense passion into every structural and configurational detail. Throughout the design phase, he engaged in deep dialogue with the brand’s watchmakers, engineering, and aesthetic teams, offering insights on everything from dial structure and window proportions to ruby settings and visual balance. This hands-on creative process extends the F1 driver’s keen sensitivity to every minute structural detail in racing into the realm of horological craftsmanship, embodying sincerity and depth in collaboration.

Pierre even personally visited the watchmaking workshop to take part in the polishing and assembly process, witnessing the journey of a flying tourbillon being constructed from its components into a complete watch. He described the experience as akin to assembling an F1 race car, where the precision of each part and the refinement of every plate directly influence the final performance. Through this involvement, he truly grasped the rhythm of watch craftsmanship and the value of human touch for the first time, developing a profound respect for traditional independent watchmaking.

The collaboration series features two exclusive pieces. The first is a limited edition of 100 units, showcasing a soft, chocolate-hued rubber strap that matches the watch face, making it perfect for both sports and everyday wear. The second piece, a rare ruby version limited to only 10 units, boasts the Streamliner series’ signature red gold integrated bracelet, with a rectangular-cut ruby set at the 10 o’clock position, representing Pierre’s racing number 10. He emphasizes that this is not just a racing number; it encodes significant memories from his journey of growing up to becoming a professional driver, paying homage to his idol, the football legend Zinedine Zidane.

Pierre further emphasizes that the design language of This watch must seamlessly transition from the racetrack to an evening gala, boasting a refined appearance, reliable technology, and genuine style. I want the wearer to feel the driving force behind it, inspired by both racing and life., which transforms speed into emotion, makes the overall design not only a form of personal expression but also a projection of a lifestyle attitude.

Limited to just 10 pieces, this ruby edition comes with a full-size replica of the helmet worn by Pierre at the Singapore Grand Prix. The brand has also organized exclusive collectible boxes, signed cards, and private interactive experiences, including golf, water activities, and dinner, all aimed at enhancing the collector’s sense of exclusivity and ceremony. Both the rubber strap version and the rose gold chain version of the ruby edition feature a 120-meter water resistance and a screw-down crown, continuing Moser’s commitment to precision and reliability in both performance and structure.

This collaborative model contrasts with the previous Streamliner Tourbillon series in both structure and design language. Past releases of the same series predominantly featured stainless steel cases with blue or gray smoky dials, exuding a cool, modern vibe. However, this time, the rose gold case pairs exquisitely with the chocolate smoky dial named after Pierre, resulting in a warmer and richer overall tone. Through ruby markers, an emotionally crafted strap design, and helmet accessories, it merges personal stories with watchmaking artistry, showcasing a more introspective and emotive side of the Streamliner series.

    H. Moser & Cie. has been actively collaborating with the BWT Alpine F1 team in recent years, gradually integrating car racing culture into the realm of watchmaking. From earlier Driver and Mechanics Editions that embodied the racing spirit through functionality and sporting language, to this latest co-designed piece led by Pierre Gasly, the brand continues to refine its mechanical craftsmanship while incorporating high-end decoration. This venture further explores new dimensions where motorsport and craftsmanship intersect, catering to the desires of young collectors for performance, aesthetics, and cultural connections.

For Pierre, this watch is not just a product of design collaboration; it symbolizes his life journey and emotional memories. He stated: I don’t seek to own too many watches; each one needs to hold significance. This particular piece is something I wear every day. It belongs to me, as well as to those who understand its spirit..

Will there be another collection led by Pierre Gasly in the future? Both the brand and Pierre himself have not ruled out the possibility. Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., emphasized that Pierre is part of the brand’s strategic creative vision, rather than just a collaborator. His approach has transcended typical brand partnerships. If the brand celebrates an anniversary or reaches a technological milestone in the future, we might once again see pieces conceptualized and developed by Pierre, possibly introducing new functions and materials that expand the creative landscape.

The Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly, featuring a chocolate-colored rubber strap, is priced at HKD 759,000, while the version with a rose gold bracelet and ruby accents retails for HKD 1,199,000. Both timepieces represent a collaborative creation between the brand and Gasly, embodying the intersection of contemporary haute horology and speed culture, making them iconic pieces of distinctive significance.
