TUDOR has officially introduced a new moon phase display to its classic dress watch collection, unveiling its first-ever lunar watch—the 1926 Luna. This creation features the design input of brand ambassador Jay Chou, who infused the champagne-colored version with his personal aesthetic vision, imbuing the timepiece with poetry and cultural depth, and adding a fresh element to TUDOR’s traditionally practical line.

The design of the 1926 Luna continues the understated elegance of the series, featuring a 39mm 316L stainless steel case and a domed blue crystal lens, with a classically harmonious overall proportion. The dial offers three options: black, blue, and champagne, all adorned with a sunburst pattern. It is complemented by three-dimensional hour markers and Arabic numeral indications at 2, 4, 8, 10, and 12 o’clock, creating a visually rich layered effect.

The moon phase display is set at the 6 o’clock position, showcasing a visual animation of the 29.5-day lunar cycle, including the new moon, first quarter, full moon, and last quarter phases. The champagne-colored dial version further highlights the ingenuity behind Jay Chou’s design, featuring a golden moon disc against a hollow black background, simulating the celestial transformation of the moon as it waxes and wanes in the night sky, harmoniously blending the concepts of art and time.

In terms of performance, the watch is powered by the calibrated TUDOR T607-9 automatic movement, based on the Sellita SW280-1, offering a 41-hour power reserve. It drives the functions of hours, minutes, seconds, date, and moon phase display. Although not manufactured in-house by Kenissi, it has been precisely adjusted by TUDOR to meet close to chronometer-grade timekeeping standards, continuing to embody the brand’s commitment to quality and reasonable pricing strategy.
As a dress watch, the 1926 Luna also offers practical features for everyday wear, including a water resistance of up to 100 meters, a screw-down crown, and a solid case back to ensure a secure fit. The accompanying seven-row stainless steel bracelet, crafted with a brushed outer link and polished center link, is designed to hug the wrist’s curve, providing a comfortable and smooth wearing experience while echoing the exquisite craftsmanship of the dial.

TUDOR has long been celebrated for its Black Bay dive watches, Pelagos professional diving gear, and GMT travel watches. This time, the brand unveils a moon phase feature, showcasing a new balance between tradition and creativity. The 1926 Luna retains a robust mechanical foundation while adding layers of cultural and emotional depth, offering another interpretation of the TUDORBorn To Dare spirit.
As a standout entry-level luxury watch, the 1926 Luna is priced at HKD 20,600, making it one of the more accessible options within the TUDOR collection. Each watch comes with a generous five-year global warranty, no registration required, and no mandated inspection periods, showcasing the brand’s confidence in its products.
Whether you’re a newcomer to TUDOR watches or a seasoned collector with multiple pieces in your arsenal, this brand-new moon phase masterpiece is set to become an unmissable poetic glimpse of time tucked away beneath your sleeve.
