Hermès has released a limited edition of just 24 pieces of the Slim d’Hermès Cheval brossé watch, infusing art into time with exquisite enamel craftsmanship and transfer techniques. Designer Dimitri Rybaltchenko interprets the brand’s 2025 theme “Crafting Dreams” through a silhouette of a galloping horse, weaving fantasy and reality on a blue enamel dial, paired with a 39.5mm white gold case that embodies understated luxury and showcases extraordinary aesthetics.
The Slim d’Hermès collection, designed by Philippe Delhotal since its launch in 2015, is renowned for its minimalist lines and exquisite craftsmanship. This time, the new Cheval brossé timepiece takes the art of watchmaking to the next level. The production process of the blue enamel dial is quite intricate; artisans must manually layer the enamel, which is then fixed through high-temperature firing, followed by applying the delicate horse motif using transfer printing techniques. Every brushstroke and play of light is precisely controlled, creating a captivating depth. This watch is powered by the Hermès H1950 ultra-thin automatic movement, with a thickness of just 2.6 millimeters and approximately 48 hours of power reserve, visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back showcasing the movement’s precision.
The watch strap is crafted from a matte deep sea blue alligator leather, perfectly echoing the profound blue of the enamel dial, showcasing Hermès’ ultimate craftsmanship in leather. This Slim d’Hermès Cheval brossé timepiece is not just a watch; it’s a collectible masterpiece that blends art and technology, retailing at approximately HKD 398,000.
