Recently, a game brimming with B-movie vibes, Shark Dentist, has made its official debut as Shark Dentist. The game revolves around assisting a giant shark with dental treatment. If players are careless and hurt the shark, it could lead to the anesthesia failing, causing the shark to suddenly wake up and put the player's life in danger. This game is perfect for fans of films like great white shark, Megalodon, and Soul Saw.
Shark Dentist is a Roguelike dental horror game developed by the indie studio Alice Games, primarily presented from a first-person perspective. Players take on the role of a shark dentist, navigating through a dark underground clinic and tasked with dental care for giant sharks. These sharks are restrained with chains after being anesthetized, and players must identify problematic teeth among the numerous sharp ones to perform the necessary treatments.
In the game, the conditions affecting a shark's teeth randomly fluctuate, including issues like infections or fractures. Players are tasked with utilizing various professional dental tools, such as drills, saws, and syringes, to address these problems. Since the shark is merely anesthetized, players must also monitor its pulse, maintain oxygen supply, and manage the use of anesthetics. Striking a balance between alleviating pain and resource limitations is essential to manage the shark's stress levels, as excessive stress could cause the shark to wake up. Additionally, players will encounter equipment malfunctions and sudden outbursts of pain, putting this dentist through a life-and-death trial as they strive to survive and complete their treatment mission.
Shark Dentist has not yet announced a specific release date, but there are reports suggesting that it will be launched soon, and it will be available on PC Steam, with support for Traditional Chinese.
