Since 2022, H. Moser & Cie. has broken away from traditional haute horlogerie by launching the first chapter of the Pioneers of the Triple Vaccination Genesis series, marking the beginning of a Genesis trilogy. This piece not only innovates in design but also integrates blockchain technology and NFTs at its core, symbolizing the first intersection between traditional craftsmanship and the digital realm. At that time, only 50 units were produced, limited to a select group of collectors, transforming into a groundbreaking Web3-based luxury watch collection mechanism, unprecedented in the industry.

The design of this Genesis watch from the Brave Innovator collection is incredibly avant-garde, showcasing a Vantablack® dial that absorbs light, paired with pixelated hands and bezel that evokes a sense of distance from the real world, highlighting virtual and futuristic concepts, while integrating a digital identity linked to NFTs. This proposal posed a challenge for the market at the time, but it managed to capture the attention of numerous collectors and media, thus opening a dialogue with the new generation of collectors.

Two years later, H. Moser & Cie. presents the second chapter of the Genesis series — Streamliner Genesis 2. This new piece is also limited to 100 editions, but it shifts away from virtual elements, distancing itself from the digital narrative to return to the essence of physical texture and watchmaking craftsmanship, focusing on touch, weight, and presence.
The Streamliner Genesis 2 carries on the iconic geometric design language of the series, featuring a 40mm stainless steel case shaped like a pillow. The curved sapphire crystal seamlessly extends into the integrated stainless steel bracelet, preserving the brand’s classic aerodynamic silhouette along with its ergonomic consideration. This time, a 3D-printed titanium crown has been specially added, which not only retains the metallic tactile details of the first chapter but also enhances the overall futuristic quality and feel.

The watch face continues to feature Vantablack® technology coating, an artificial material that absorbs an astonishing 99.965% of light, regarded as one of the darkest materials in the world. When worn, it delivers an incredibly pure visual effect that feels almost limitless. With pixelated hour and minute hands, alongside the addition of Globolight® decorations, the essence of the first generation is preserved while achieving a more understated perception and a calmer aesthetic.
At the heart of the movement, the Streamliner Genesis 2 is powered by the automatic HMC 203, crafted in-house by the brand. This movement boasts a diameter of 32 millimeters and a thickness of 5.5 millimeters. It features a bi-directional scorpion-type automatic winding system and a solid 18K gold rotor, ensuring a minimum of 3 days of power reserve. The movement’s plate showcases a partially skeletonized design, adorned with H. Moser’s iconic double stripe motif and a gray surface treatment, where every detail has been meticulously crafted, reflecting the brand’s robust watchmaking craftsmanship.

Water resistance reaches 120 meters, and its practicality has also improved, adequately meeting daily usage needs. The overall appearance is dominated by a minimalist design, yet every detail has been meticulously considered, resonating throughout with the futuristic theme and the return to materiality of the Genesis series.

Much like in its predecessor, the connection lies in the design language and narrative context. The Streamliner Genesis 2 isn’t merely an extension of the first release; it’s a tangible translation of the spirit of its forerunner. If we say that the bold three-hand Genesis is the key to unlocking a virtual door, then Genesis 2 is the process of forging imagination into stainless steel, serving as a transformative bridge between the digital and the real. Both showcase a strong contrast yet are displayed coherently, crafting a complete narrative.

The design of the right side crown stands out as one of the most obvious connections between the two generations of creations. The Genesis 2 features the same 3D-printed titanium crown as the original piece, retaining the pixelated geometric outline and the M brand logo. This continuity not only preserves the visual form but also ensures that the metal’s texture aligns with the first, creating a clear resonance between the two and further reinforcing the cohesive design throughout the entire collection.

When it comes to collectible value, it’s heightened by its rarity and unique mechanism. The Genesis 2 isn’t available for public sale; it’s limited to just 100 units, with only the first 50 owners able to pre-order and receive an invitation to choose someone to accompany them, thus entering this exclusive limited circle. This system, where collectors personally select their successors, transforms the watch into a continuation of a story and further strengthens the deep connection between the brand and the collectors.
H. Moser & Cie. chooses to develop its products in a dramatic trilogy, where each watch does not exist in isolation but instead forms an interconnected and progressive narrative structure. Genesis 2, as a key chapter, responds deeply in both design and technique, as well as emotion, to its predecessors, leaving room for imagination in the third chapter. From the technological narrative of Web3 to material interpretation, the brand clearly outlines another possibility in contemporary watchmaking.

For collectors who already own the first piece from Genesis, Genesis 2 is definitely not just an extension of the series, but an essential chapter that must be part of the entire narrative. With an exquisite design and limited quantity, this piece, framed within an exclusive collection system, holds both artistic value and the potential for appreciation over time. For collectors, it’s not just a work of art, but a tangible story that unfolds through time.
