CHANEL introduces a groundbreaking evolution to its iconic J12 series, unveiling the first-ever collection of limited-edition timepieces crafted from matte blue ceramic. From its original black-and-white designs, the J12 line continuously pushes boundaries in both materials and colors. This time, CHANEL debuts an exclusive blue ceramic developed over five years, combining a profound depth of texture with exceptional scratch-resistant and high-durability qualities, epitomizing the brand’s relentless pursuit of watchmaking excellence. The series features nine distinctive designs, each meticulously crafted at the CHANEL Watchmaking Manufacture. Select models are adorned with step-cut blue sapphires or diamonds, paired with matte lacquered dials and black-coated stainless steel cases. The interplay of light against the blue sheen creates an understated elegance defined by sophistication and individuality.

The J12 BLEU Caliber 12.1 and 12.2 automatic watches feature 38mm and 33mm cases, respectively. Both are powered by the Caliber movements co-developed by CHANEL and Kenissi, certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute. The Caliber 12.1 model boasts a 70-hour power reserve, while the Caliber 12.2 offers a 50-hour reserve. Both models are water-resistant up to 200 meters and include hour, minute, and second functions, with the Caliber 12.1 additionally equipped with a date display. Selected dials are adorned with 12 sapphire or diamond indices, creating a striking visual depth.
For those seeking intricate, high-end functionality, look no further than the limited-edition J12 BLEU Diamond Tourbillon Watch, limited to just 55 pieces. Equipped with CHANEL’s in-house Caliber 5 manual movement, it boasts 172 components and a power reserve of up to 42 hours. At the center of the flying tourbillon cage is a 65-facet diamond, while the bezel is adorned with 34 sapphires. The blue skeletonized dial adds an extra layer of luxurious sophistication to the overall design.

Additionally, the J12 BLEU X-RAY edition is crafted from transparent sapphire crystal, with production taking over 1600 hours. Limited to just 12 pieces, it seamlessly combines black elements with a white gold structure and is equipped with the Caliber 3.1 skeleton manual winding movement. The bridges and base plate of the movement are also made from sapphire crystal, creating a floating-like effect. The piece features a total of 196 blue sapphires, with a combined weight of over 16 carats.
The largest J12 BLEU 42mm sapphire watch also features the Caliber 12.1 movement, adorned with 170 sapphires and weighing a total of 17 carats. Limited to just 12 pieces. In contrast, the 28mm version operates with a highly precise quartz movement, with a design equally encrusted with sapphires, perfectly showcasing the ultimate contrast between matte blue ceramic and dazzling gemstones.
