Thug Club has officially launched its Spring/Summer 2026 collection K-Dark Nostalgia. This series is independently led by Kwon Jiyool, drawing inspiration from his personal growth—an exhilarating journey through men's fashion. During his student days, Kwon became captivated by the Styleforum community, diving deep into various fashion archives. This exploration forged a profound connection with early 2000s European and Japanese menswear, a sentiment that continues to resonate today. K-Dark Nostalgia pays tribute to that historical era and its influential figures, with several personalities Kwon admires still holding a significant place in his heart.
This season continues the rebellious and decadent style of Thug Club, fully evolving with elements like distressed denim and vintage leather. The brand's classic trench coat has been revamped with new fabrics and colors, enhanced by motorcycle-inspired shoulder pads and rich metal accessories, significantly boosting its presence. Meanwhile, black joggers and hoodies make a powerful comeback, with scarlet cut-out designs on the sides and sleeves paying homage to the rugged aesthetics of the early 2000s, reinterpreted through Kwon's unique perspective.
This collection unfolds like a deeply personal and sincere narrative, paying homage to an era that is both distant and rugged. In a time when algorithms had yet to influence trends, discovering one's personal style required patience and curiosity. For Kwon, the experience of searching for rare pieces online after class was the starting point of his The Real World. This emotional connection breathes life into this season, reigniting subcultures and underground aesthetics through a Post-Hardcore lens.
