According to Deadline, Jason Momoa has long been vocal about his passion for the character, often expressing his desire to play the bad boy, Lobo. At last, DC Studios has made his dream come true. Momoa took to Instagram to confirm the news, sharing that he's been waiting for this call forever and it’s finally happening.
"Lobo," the brainchild of creators Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen, burst onto the scene in the June 1983 issue of "Omega Men #3." Hailing from the utopian planet Czarnia, this alien is no peace-loving extraterrestrial. Working as an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter, Lobo is the epitome of rough and self-assured swagger, and stands as one of Superman’s formidable foes.
The arrival of the wild and fearsome Lobo is set to be the highlight of "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow," with the fresh-faced "Supergirl" portrayed by none other than Milly Alcock of "House of the Dragon" fame. This artistic venture, inspired by the 2022 comic created by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, features a screenplay penned by Ana Nogueira. It tells the poignant tale of a mysterious Supergirl, who copes with the death of her loved ones and witnesses the annihilation of her home world, Krypton. Landing on Earth, she faces the tough challenge of protecting a cousin (yep, Superman), who doesn't think he needs her help. Through these trials, she transforms into the iconic Supergirl we all cheer for.
As of now, "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" has not yet announced an official release date, but its future developments are definitely worth looking forward to.
