The latest flagship phone from Samsung, the Galaxy S25 Edge, made its debut at the launch event showcased only within a glass case, with the media unable to get their hands on it. However, recently a video allegedly revealing the actual device has surfaced online, showcasing the phone's allure. The design of the Galaxy S25 Edge focuses on "extreme thinness"; according to the video, its thickness is close to that of the currently unfolded Galaxy Z Fold6, indicating a significant breakthrough in slim design. Compared to the standard Galaxy S25, the S25 Edge absolutely presents a more slender and refined appearance.
According to various sources, the Galaxy S25 Edge may feature an entirely new material configuration. Its side frame is expected to be made of aluminum alloy, while the back might be crafted from ceramic material. This design not only enhances durability but also effectively reduces the weight of the device. Although it has yet to be confirmed whether it will fully utilize ceramic, it shows that Samsung is aiming to improve the lightweight feel of the phone, which differs from the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 design in the Galaxy S25 series.
In terms of hardware, the Galaxy S25 Edge features Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, showcasing impressive performance. In GeekBench benchmarks, this phone scores a jaw-dropping 2806 in single-core and 8416 in multi-core tests. Additionally, it boasts a 3900mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. While wireless charging specifics are yet to be confirmed, its fast-charging capabilities are more than sufficient to meet most users' needs.
It's worth noting that the camera setup on the Galaxy S25 Edge is quite impressive. According to exposure data, the phone features a dual-camera system on the back, with the main sensor possibly at 200 million pixels, paired with a 12 million pixel ultra-wide lens. The front camera is expected to be 12 million pixels, making it perfect for everyday selfies. This phone is also anticipated to have a 6.7-inch display, which should deliver exceptional visuals, meeting users' dual demands for screen size and picture quality.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to officially launch in the near future during the second quarter, so let’s keep an eye out for the exciting performance of this phone.
