Rough Simmons unveils a new series of apparel inspired by the beloved anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. This time, the creative vision takes center stage in the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, showcasing the brand's unique charm through 11 fresh designs.
The standout feature of this series lies in the way Raf Simons has reimagined the classic flight jacket design. Introducing the Eva Woodland Bomber and Eva Bomber Jacket, these pieces merge vintage-inspired camouflage patterns with patch designs reminiscent of anime scenes, creating truly distinctive items. This same design approach is showcased in the monochrome Patched Turtleneck and the Crimson Scythe Sweater. Particularly in the latter, the iconic scythe-wielding scene featuring the fan-favorite Rei Ayanami has been beautifully brought to life.
In this series, Rough Simmons revisits the iconic 'I Love NY' sweater from the Fall/Winter 2017 collection with a fresh twist. The design now features a cropped, loose-fitting silhouette and swaps the symbolic NERV logo for the ROSIM lettering. This redesign is also carried over to the ROSIM Sweatpants. Additionally, a second bottoms option, the Embroidered Spear Denim, makes its debut—taking inspiration from the Lance of Longinus, showcasing a spectrum of creative design possibilities.
