This year at Watches & Wonders 2025, BVLGARI unveiled its first-ever brand-themed exhibition space, showcasing a rich blend of Roman aesthetics and avant-garde design elements. Drawing inspiration from rationalist Roman architecture, the grand exterior exudes a commanding presence, creating a striking visual impact from the entrance. The meticulously planned interior is divided into seven thematic exhibition areas, inspired by the authoritative work 《 》, and uses spatial storytelling to guide visitors through the brand’s watchmaking journey. Each section unfolds like a chapter, narrating BVLGARI’s historical milestones and technological innovations. Decorated with details crafted from marble, metal, and precious materials, the exhibition masterfully combines the brand’s profound Roman heritage with a contemporary watchmaking perspective.
This exhibition not only marks BVLGARI’s official debut on the international watchmaking stage but also fully showcases the brand’s dual identity—an iconic Roman jeweler and a contemporary master of Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship. The exhibition space blends Italian elegance with advanced engineering aesthetics, allowing visitors to intuitively experience the brand’s profound understanding of The Art of Time through its environment, materials, flow, and interplay of light and shadow.
As the centerpiece of the exhibition, BVLGARI proudly unveils two flagship timepieces: the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon and Serpenti Aeterna, each showcasing a groundbreaking interpretation of ultimate watchmaking craftsmanship and avant-garde jewelry watch design. Through these two remarkable creations, the brand declares its unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries and redefining timeless classics in the watchmaking industry.

Among them, the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon once again pushes the boundaries of the industry, becoming the world’s thinnest flying tourbillon watch with a case thickness of just 1.85 mm. This timepiece is equipped with the BVF 900 manual-winding movement, offering a power reserve of 42 hours and operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). The movement and case structure are fully integrated, embodying the brand’s holistic approach from design to manufacturing. This groundbreaking engineering combines a tungsten carbide mainplate, a sandblasted titanium case, and an ultra-thin integrated bracelet, perfectly blending wearing comfort with technological innovation.

Moreover, this watch showcases a meticulously crafted open-worked movement design, leaving virtually no room for error. From the tourbillon bridge to the hour hand indicators, every detail is refined with rhodium plating and sunburst finishes, highlighting a play of light and shadow as well as a modern aesthetic. This timepiece has earned a total of eight patented technological certifications, including modular design, integration of the movement and case, and an innovative winding mechanism, further solidifying the authoritative standing of the Octo Finissimo collection within the world of haute horlogerie.
Since the debut of its first ultra-thin tourbillon in 2014, BVLGARI has continued to push the boundaries of watchmaking, achieving a remarkable ten world records to date. The brand emphasizes that breaking records is more than just a technical feat – it’s an extension of its design philosophy and innovative spirit. By reimagining the logic of watchmaking and redefining the language of aesthetics, BVLGARI has unlocked new possibilities for the craft.

At the same time, Serpenti Aeterna brings the iconic Serpenti collection into a bold contemporary realm, infusing the symbolic serpent motif with sculptural design and avant-garde visual language. This creation abandons traditional snake scales and eye symbols, instead focusing on a pure expression of sleek lines and the serpent’s silhouette. It emphasizes graceful, flowing geometric curves, blending BVLGARI’s exquisite jewelry craftsmanship with watchmaking precision, seamlessly uniting function and style in one.
The collection is available in two versions: rose gold and white gold. The rose gold design is adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds that extend seamlessly from the serpent head to the bracelet, offering an opulent and luxurious feel. The white gold version takes it a step further with snowflake pavé settings, adding a layered and three-dimensional effect. The crown is set with a brilliant-cut emerald, adding a touch of elegance to the overall design. In terms of movement, it features a high-precision quartz system to ensure stability and everyday functionality.

It’s worth noting that the Aeterna collection retains the highly recognizable hexagonal scale elements from the Serpenti series, cleverly concealing them on the inner side of the watch. This, paired with the bracelet design, allows for a natural fit around the wrist, achieving a harmonious unity between visual appeal and wearing comfort. After two years of development, this collection is a quintessential example of the perfect fusion of jewelry and watch design.
Looking back at the journey of Serpenti since its debut in 1948, it has gone through various interpretations such as Tubogas, Infiniti, Seduttori, and Misteriosi—all embodying the symbolism of 《靈蛇象徵Wisdom, Rebirth, Strength》. This time, Aeterna returns to the essence of the series, highlighting the eternal philosophy of time and transformation with minimalist design, marking a new chapter in the brand’s watchmaking history.
As the brand celebrates the 25th anniversary of its watchmaking journey, BVLGARI is presenting creations that not only signify the pinnacle of its craftsmanship but also reaffirm its steadfast commitment to deepening its footprint in the world of haute horlogerie. The CEO of the brand group stated: Our goal has never been about singular records but rather to redefine the potential and aesthetics of mechanical watchmaking through each innovation.
From exhibition design to product content, BVLGARI’s presentation this time is not just a display but a fully immersive narrative experiment, weaving together culture, technology, and emotions. The ultra-thin elegance of the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon and the refined evolution of the Serpenti Aeterna come together to showcase how the brand transcends the boundaries between tradition and the future, craftsmanship and artistry, setting a contemporary standard for timepieces.
