At the recent Shanghai Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the stunning new concept multipurpose vehicle, Vision V, showcasing its forward-thinking approach to automotive design.
In terms of appearance, the Vision V boasts a design that perfectly blends style with a futuristic tech vibe. Its unique LED lighting system exudes a strong sci-fi aesthetic. The LED light strips on the front grille replace traditional chrome elements, while the star-shaped emblem on the hood is illuminated. At the rear, the LED light strip is composed of over 450 three-dimensional lighting units, and the downward-curving window line further accentuates the sporty character of this coupe-inspired design.
The interior design has been elevated to enhance the riding experience, featuring a full-width panel spanning across the cabin that integrates three distinct digital screens. In the rear, there's a 65-inch 4K display, supported by a setup of 42 speakers and equipped with a Dolby Atmos immersive sound system. The design also incorporates seven projectors on the roof and the floor, along with transparent window projection technology, all contributing to a 360-degree immersive experience for passengers. Additionally, the tubular design of the seats blends style with ergonomics, while the transparent glass spaces on both sides make it more convenient to store personal items. The central armrest table can even transform into a chessboard.
Although the powertrain details of Vision V have yet to be revealed, it is understood that the vehicle is built on the VAN.EA platform and features an 800-volt electrical system for rapid charging. It supports both single-motor and dual-motor configurations, with an expected range of up to 311 miles. While Vision V remains in the concept stage, the brand has officially announced plans to incorporate several of its features into the 2026 version of the new V-Class model, undoubtedly fueling excitement among car enthusiasts.
