The third installment of the Genius Girl Holmes movie series has been officially confirmed to enter the production phase. Millie Bobby Brown will once again step into the role of the brilliant Enola Holmes. This time, her detective escapades are set to unfold in Malta, where she will also navigate the budding romance between her and Lord Tewkesbury.
The film is directed by Philip Barantini, who previously garnered acclaim for his single-take thriller 《Adolescence》. The screenplay is handled by Jack Thorne, who also wrote the scripts for the previous two installments in the series. This movie is adapted from Nancy Springer’s beloved classic novels, which have been widely cherished by readers.
Additionally, familiar characters will make a return, including Sherlock Holmes played by Henry Cavill, Eudoria Holmes portrayed by Helena Bonham Carter, Dr. Watson by Himesh Patel, and Moriarty played by Sharon Duncan-Brewster. The return of these roles adds a touch of anticipation to the film.
Millie Bobby Brown will also serve as a producer through her production company, PCMA Productions, collaborating with Bobby Brown, Mary Parent, Ali Mendes, and Alex Garcia from Legendary Entertainment. While the exact release date has yet to be revealed, Netflix has officially confirmed that the film is now in the production stage.
