Arsenal faced off against Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals, suffering a 1-2 defeat and exiting the tournament with an aggregate score of 1-3, thus missing out on a spot in the final. Despite showing a proactive attacking spirit at the Parc des Princes, Arsenal couldn’t capitalize on their chances throughout the match.

Paris took the lead in the 27th minute with a stunning long-range shot from Fabián Ruiz. Later, in the 72nd minute, Achraf Hakimi capitalized on a mistake by Thomas Partey to extend the score. Bukayo Saka managed to pull one back for Arsenal in the 76th minute, but the team missed multiple opportunities throughout the match, including a near-open goal that went wide, ultimately failing to turn the tide.

Arsenal’s goalkeeper David Raya, despite making several crucial saves, unfortunately could not prevent two goals, leading to a loss. Overall, Arsenal showed defensive weaknesses and a lack of decisiveness in the attack during this high-intensity match.

In contrast, Paris exuded a mature rhythm and powerful pressure, with Donnarumma successfully saving several crucial shots, making him a key player in the team’s progression. In midfield, Fabián Ruiz not only scored but also effectively controlled the pace of the match throughout.

After the defeat, Arsenal’s head coach Mikel Arteta admitted that the team needs to learn from their mistakes and improve their offensive and defensive efficiency. Meanwhile, Paris will face Internazionale at Allianz Arena in Munich, striving for their first UEFA Champions League title in history.
