The brand new Onimusha project Ghost Warrior: Way of the Sword is set to be released in 2026. Recently, Capcom dropped the latest promotional video, unveiling two fierce opponents: Sasaki Kojiro and a phantasm wielding a massive weapon, Big Snatcher.
Since its debut in 2001, the Onimusha series has won over players with its seamless gameplay and a captivating blend of fantasy and realism in its storytelling. This time, the new journey is set in the Edo period of Kyoto, featuring the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi as he rides alongside the new character Onimusha, embarking on a series of adventures to slay demons and vanquish evil.
In the latest trailer, the swordsmanship of Miyamoto Musashi’s Two days, first-class is brought back to life, with his arch-nemesis Sasaki Kojiro also becoming a key part of the main storyline. The officials have stated: A samurai also known as Sasaki Kojiro, who shares a deep bond with Musashi. He wears the same ‘Oni no Kago’ as Musashi on his wrist…… as for whether the two will reenact the world-famous Dueling on Rocky Island in the game, we’ll have to wait until the official release to find out.
Ghost Warrior: Way of the Sword is set to launch next year, supporting PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam platforms.
