This pair of shoes was first introduced at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and quickly garnered widespread affection when it was reissued in 2024, thanks to its classic design. At that time, this shoe made its debut in Paris alongside new releases like the Brain Dead Barricade 13, Taekwondo, and Climacool 2. The Japan Lo, featuring a striking flame pattern, stands out with its soft suede material and retro flame accents.
The redesigned sneakers will launch in two colorways. One set features a mix of brown, olive green, and yellow, while the other showcases a combination of black, white, and blue. The standout design elements include plush suede, rugged flame-shaped embellishments, specially designed suede laces, and a reinforced pull tab at the heel. The contrasting leather collar adds a touch of elegance to the vintage aesthetic, while the off-white thin sole aligns perfectly with the current trend of flat shoe styles.
This latest collaboration between Brain Dead and adidas further expands their increasingly popular co-branded collection. Previous standout styles include the Stan Smith, Forest Hills, and the exclusive bowling shoes launched at Dover Street Market. While other Brain Dead x adidas collaborative sneakers that were teased last spring have yet to reveal specific release dates, this new pair is priced at $140 and is expected to officially drop soon on the adidas official website and app.
