To celebrate the brand's 8th anniversary, the independent watchmaker MING has launched its milestone creation—57.04Iris. This new timepiece not only marks the debut of the brand's fifth-generation design vocabulary but also introduces MING's very first destro left-handed chronograph. Featuring a 40 mm stainless steel case, it achieves a perfect balance between eye-catching aesthetics and everyday wearability.
Featuring a dial adorned with an arched sapphire crystal, the deep-set brass dial is coated with an iridescent layer that shifts through shades of teal, purple, and various blues in response to lighting, creating an eye-catching visual effect. The bezel and side of the case cleverly employ both polishing and satin brushing techniques, complemented by hour markers filled with MINGPolar White luminous paint that seem to float beneath the surface, exuding a sense of elegance. The unique stepped lugs are meticulously crafted from nine components, further emphasizing the sculptural quality of this Art Deco-inspired series. Additionally, with a water resistance of up to 100 meters, Iris is perfectly equipped to handle both office settings and outdoor activities with ease.
At its core, this timepiece is equipped with a customized Sellita Cal. SW562.M1 chronograph movement, meticulously fine-tuned for the unique destro function. It features a large crown and pushers that offer an exceptional tactile experience. The 30-minute counter located at the 6 o'clock position showcases Super-LumiNova luminescence through its sandwich structure, leaving a striking impression. Meanwhile, the 4N plated three-quarter plate contrasts beautifully with the charcoal gray movement, enhancing the overall sophistication of the watch.
57.04IrisWill be released globally in a limited edition of 100 pieces, priced at 6,250 Swiss Francs (approximately 7,768 USD). It is currently available for sale on the official MING website and authorized dealers.
