Thirty-two years ago, in 1993, the French Renault Twingo made its debut, once hailed as a rebellious little car. This year, it finally unveils its fourth generation, completely reviving the classic elements of the original, allowing it to work its magic and captivate the masses once again.

Just like the previously launched Renault models—the R5 and R4—the Twingo features the same electric system, equipped with a 27.5kWh battery and a front-mounted single motor, offering a range of 262 kilometers (WLTP) with each charge. It boasts 82 horsepower and 175Nm of torque, achieving 0-100km/h in 12.1 seconds. While these figures may not be thrilling, they are more than sufficient for an urban electric compact car, especially considering it’s always been Selling a look, not a skill.!

The new Twingo, just like the R5 and R4, is part of Live off past successes., completely mirroring the original design but in a way that’s truly stunning—there’s absolutely no sense of inconsistency here. It’s a rare occurrence for high expectations to clash with reality. As for the cabin layout, it leans towards minimalism, yet, even in this electric version, it retains a good number of physical buttons—like the rotary controls for the air conditioning, a design that true car enthusiasts adore. With a price tag under 20,000 euros, it’s hard to deny its allure. Unfortunately, there’s no dealer in Hong Kong, making it unlikely to encounter this beauty again!
