Converse Japan has recently launched a series of uniquely crafted collaborative sneakers to commemorate the premiere of the fifth season of the popular Netflix series Stranger Things. This collection specifically focuses on three classic Converse silhouettes: the Chuck Taylor All Star, Weapon, and One Star, all of which exude a strong sense of nostalgia.
The first model of the series is the Chuck Taylor All Star, crafted with a canvas upper and available in a variety of solid color options including red, black, green, peach, gray, and navy blue. Except for the navy blue version, the designs are minimal yet stylish, featuring the exclusive Stranger Things tongue label and insole, along with classic lines FRIENDS DON’T LIE and the names of the main characters. The navy blue version pays homage to the fictional radio station WSQK The Squawk, showcasing a nostalgic aesthetic. All styles maintain the iconic round Converse ankle logo, paired with striped laces.
Next up is the Weapon sneaker, known for its sharp lines, featuring a silhouette reminiscent of boots that exudes a timeless charm. The upper is crafted from a blend of off-white and green leather, incorporating several exclusive details from the series, such as the Stranger Things themed insole and the Hawkins High School Tigers mascot graphic discreetly hidden on the inside of the tongue. Additionally, the vintage-style midsole perfectly complements the design, while the orange and white lace options enhance the overall nostalgic vibe.
The final appearance is the low-top One Star sneakers, featuring a black suede upper paired with white exposed stitching, creating a striking visual contrast. The side of the shoe subtly integrates the imagery of Demogorgon, while the insole and heel sport the same logo, cleverly echoing the overall design.
