Recently, Type 7, in collaboration with Porsche Motorsport, launched a large-format book titled Artefacts: Porsche Motorsport, which offers a deep exploration of the brand's successes and stories through a unique artistic perspective. This special edition of the book was planned and photographed in the restricted areas of Flacht and Weissach at Porsche, featuring 550 pages that showcase over 250 valuable pieces from different eras.
This project is led by ERG Media, with chief creator Thomas Walk using high-resolution photography to spotlight the Raceborn Textures pieces and the marks of time, diving into the innovative thought behind them. Simultaneously, the book collaborates with the Porsche Corporate Archive, providing a deep narrative and featuring exclusive interviews with legendary team boss Roger Penske and team drivers Richard Lietz and Pascal Wehrlein.
When it comes to design, the book is crafted by Andy Cruz from House Industries, featuring a vibrant deep red synthetic leather cover that pays homage to the archives of the 1960s. This English edition weighs an impressive 7.7 kg and is available for 350 euros (approximately 405 dollars), undoubtedly providing a tactile collecting experience for fans of automotive culture.
