    Puma Ahluwalia collection channels African football

    The Puma Ahluwalia collection channels African football culture in a new capsule released ahead of the World Cup, PUMA and designer Priya Ahluwalia said.

    Priya Ahluwalia, who draws on Indian and Nigerian heritage, said she worked with PUMA to blend cultural motifs and everyday streetwear with the brand's athletic DNA. In a statement, Ahluwalia said the project seeks to reflect both the passion of African football and casual, wearable silhouettes.

    Puma Ahluwalia collection highlights: shoes and apparel

    PUMA described the capsule as a reinterpretation of classic silhouettes. The lineup includes a return of the V S1 shoe and a reworked T7 tracksuit, both adapted with bold colorways and cultural references, PUMA said in a press release.

    The V S1 returns with inspiration from PUMA's early 2000s Velocity series and is offered in two distinct palettes: one uses vibrant red, yellow, black, and green, the other is a muted gray and black. PUMA said the color choices were intended to evoke stadium energy and street style alike.

    Sewing heritage into design

    The apparel range reimagines the T7 top and includes a skirt option that uses the green of the Nigeria flag to anchor its palette, PUMA said. Wave motifs, a signature PUMA graphic treatment, run through several pieces to tie the collection together.

    Ahluwalia told journalists the collection is meant to be both celebratory and practical, marrying the energy of match day with fabrics and fits suitable for everyday wear.

    Sustainability, campaign and availability for the Puma Ahluwalia collection

    PUMA said the capsule uses a high proportion of recycled fibers as part of a shared sustainability commitment with Ahluwalia. The brand and designer highlighted recycled materials as a core feature, the company said in its release.

    To visually anchor the project, PUMA photographed the campaign in Morocco, using the country's textures and cityscapes to illustrate football as a global language, PUMA said. The shoot is intended to underscore the collection's cross cultural influences.

    The Puma Ahluwalia collection will be sold first at the PUMA London flagship store and on Ahluwalia.world, PUMA said, with additional rollouts at select retailers to follow. The brand did not disclose full retail partner details in its announcement.

    What to expect

    Consumers can expect vivid color blocking, sports informed cuts, and sustainability credentials across the capsule, PUMA said. Ahluwalia emphasized that the project is intended to celebrate cultural identity while remaining wearable for everyday life.

    For purchase details and exact release dates, PUMA directed readers to its official channels and to Ahluwalia.world, where the designer's online shop will carry the capsule on launch day.
