The upcoming third installment of the The Talented Young Girl Sherlock Holmes film series has been officially confirmed to enter the production phase. Millie Bobby Brown will once again transform into the brilliant Enola Holmes, this time taking her detective adventures to Malta while delving into the gradually intensifying emotions between her and Lord Tewkesbury.
This film is directed by Philip Barantini, who garnered widespread praise for his critically acclaimed single-take thriller, Adolescence. The screenplay comes from Jack Thorne, the mastermind behind the scripts for the earlier two installments in the series. Adapted from Nancy Springer’s beloved classic novels, the movie brings to life stories that have enchanted readers across the globe.
In addition, familiar characters will make a return, including Sherlock Holmes played by Henry Cavill, Eudoria Holmes portrayed by Helena Bonham Carter, Dr. Watson played by Himesh Patel, and Moriarty brought to life by Sharon Duncan-Brewster. The return of these characters is sure to add a touch of anticipation to the film.
Millie Bobby Brown will also step into the role of producer through her production company, PCMA Productions, collaborating with Bobby Brown, Mary Parent, Ali Mendes, and Alex Garcia from Legendary Entertainment for this project. Although a specific release date remains under wraps, Netflix has officially announced that the film has moved into the production stage.
