The third season of the popular Netflix series Squid Game is also its final season. Recently, a full trailer was released during the Netflix Tudum 2025 event, building up a lot of excitement.
The teaser reveals that the intense showdown between the protagonist, Ki-hoon (played by Lee Jung-jae), and his rival, Young-hee (portrayed by Lee Byung-hun), will continue, introducing a new level of deadly game challenges. In addition to the main characters, other actors like Wi Ha-joon, Nam Ji-hyun, and Kang Ha-neul are confirmed to return. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk states that the new season will focus on Ki-hoon’s choices after facing consecutive failures. It appears that all his efforts have gone to waste, leaving him in the depths of despair. The story will take an interesting turn, exploring whether Ki-hoon can overcome his shame, bounce back, and demonstrate the inherent goodness that still exists within humanity in the arena.
