Puma has teamed up once again with Japanese designer Fumito Ganryu to launch a brand new collaborative collection, this time focusing on a reimagining of the Mostro XC sneaker. Two fresh designs were unveiled during a recent joint event at Paris Men's Fashion Week.
This collaboration centers around Duality as the design core, bringing its theme to life through a promotional short film featuring actor Masaru Kasamatsu. The film showcases the evolution of From youthful rebellion to mature restraint., exploring the tension between instinct and discipline, as well as between dynamism and stillness.
In line with this theme, both versions of the Mostro XC shoes come in an all-black palette, featuring the incredible Mostro XC 3D, which utilizes ALIVEFORM 3D printing technology to create a strikingly thick platform that boasts an impressive stacked height. The speckled upper perfectly blends with the sharp-toothed outsole. Meanwhile, the other Mostro XC model stays true to its original design while incorporating significant adjustments, including an improved lace-locking system and a snug mesh upper, showcasing a sleek and understated style.
Currently, the Fumito Ganryu x Puma Mostro XC collection is available on the official Fumito Ganryu online store, with plans for an expanded release on Puma JP in the near future.
