Way of Wade sneakers arrive in Hong Kong in an all white and champagne gold colorway, Li Ning said, released as a limited Hong Kong exclusive that reworks three signature models.

The new Way of Wade sneakers white gold collection pairs classic white uppers with metallic champagne details, giving the shoes a restrained but collectible feel, Li Ning said. The drop is limited to the brand’s designated Hong Kong stores.
Way of Wade sneakers, the WOW 12 mixes sport and sculpture
The collection centerpiece is the WOW 12, which goes beyond a simple color change by embedding career references to Dwyane Wade throughout the shoe, Li Ning said. Elements range from the outsole markings reading “FMVP” and “06-12-13” to the text “LAST DANCE” that nods to his final season.

The WOW 12 adds sculptural touches, with TPU side panels finished in a classical print and raised motifs on the tongue and heel that give the shoe an art object quality in addition to court intentions. Li Ning lists the WOW 12 weight at 330 grams, making it the lightest shoe in the Way of Wade lineup so far, the company said.

Performance tech under the white gold look
The WOW 12 pairs a dual layer midsole with a carbon plate to improve rebound and forward propulsion, Li Ning said. The sole uses a GCU rubber compound for grip designed to keep traction stable during quick cuts and abrupt stops.
Across the collection, Way of Wade sneakers emphasize a streamlined silhouette compared with prior generations, and the white gold palette sharpens that visual language. Li Ning described the aesthetic as court ready yet suitable for street wear.

DLO 2 and 808 5 Ultra V2 continue signature stories
The DLO 2, D’Angelo Russell’s signature model, continues the butterfly motif from the first generation, with the left and right shoes combining to form a complete butterfly graphic. The shoe tongue carries a yin yang motif that echoes Russell’s wrist tattoo, and the inner panel lists the jersey numbers he has worn through his career.
DLO 2 uses an embroidered mesh upper for a balance of breathability and lockdown, while a full length proprietary foam midsole and a PROBAR LOC stability system aim to keep the ride soft yet supported. The outsole is finished in TUFF OS abrasion resistant rubber for long wear on indoor courts and outdoor surfaces.

The 808 5 Ultra V2 stays true to the series focus on speed, with an embedded midsole structure plus full length foam and a full foot TPU plate to keep the shoe light while boosting rebound and torsional stability. The forefoot uses GCU rubber for additional traction on quick direction changes.

Apparel and styling extend the white gold theme
The release includes a capsule of white and champagne gold apparel, with short sleeve T shirts and several cuts that use heat stamped metallic prints for layered detail. The collection is meant to translate the court inspired look into everyday street wear.
