As Fashion Month comes to a close, Paris Fashion Week wraps up amidst waves of music. Let's take a moment to revisit the stunning musical performances that lit up the event.
Under the direction of Guram Gvasalia, VETEMENTS has always been a focal point in the industry, with familiar faces showing up at almost every show. Looking back to last September, Travis Scott took to the stage, igniting excitement for the event; meanwhile, Anok Yai made her encore appearance in the Spring/Summer collection as The Grand Finale Bride, marking her second showcase with VETEMENTS. Additionally, supermodel Cara Delevingne graced the VETEMENTS runway for the first time. It’s no surprise that VETEMENTS, closely connected with music, can attract the world's most popular rappers and two of the hottest supermodels to perform together. In the upcoming Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Yeat stunningly donned the brand's 6-9 jersey, perfectly capturing the essence of his runway debut.
Anthony Vaccarello knows how to orchestrate a mesmerizing spectacle, turning the front row into a work of art. This season’s Yves Saint Laurent runway was a star-studded affair, featuring a constellation of celebrities including Charli XCX, Rosé, Role Model, Peggy Gou, Central Cee, Teyana Taylor, and Honey Dijon.
Set against the backdrop of the 13th-century Gothic cathedral Collège des Bernardins, the runway of Acne Studios transformed into a rebellious musical feast, featuring one of the month's standout soundtracks. The music performance, led by Swedish pop legend Robyn, included her classic tracks Fembot and Robotboy, the latter being a remix collaboration with Yung Lean. Robyn remarked, "When I perform When Jonatan sings "Robotboy", it's like softly singing to my past self, revealing profound emotions." She also highlighted the connection between music and fashion, emphasizing that this collaboration challenges and celebrates typical perceptions of female identity both visually and audibly, making it a truly meaningful experience.
Renowned for its collaborations with musicians, Alexander McQueen has once again teamed up with another top-tier artist to provide the soundtrack for the Spring/Summer 2026 collection. This season's women's show, held in Paris, features music created by A.G. Cook, who crafted an audio landscape brimming with primal energy that perfectly echoes the collection's inspiration drawn from cult horror film The Wicker Man. Notes describe Cook's score as establishing a blend of unease and exhilaration, showcasing layered soundscapes that merge elements of water, earth, and fire, infused with both folk and urban vibes characteristic of European music, gradually moving toward a dreamlike release with each beat.
This post-apocalyptic themed show, accompanied by powerful techno beats specially crafted by Anyma and Chris Avantgarde, boasts a complete soundtrack that lasts 13 minutes. It's now available on Apple Music under the title DOGS † VETEMENTS SS26 SHOW.
Glenn Martens’ debut ready-to-wear collection for Maison Margiela made a striking impression. In one corner of the runway, a band of 61 young musicians appeared in formal attire, delivering a live performance that was at times enchanting and at others chaotic for the audience. These young performers, aged between 7 and 15, donned oversized Margiela tailcoats, showcasing a brilliant medley of classical pieces from Mozart, Bizet, Strauss, Beethoven, and Prokofiev.
Thomas Bangalter revved up the atmosphere at Anrealage's Paris show once again, bringing an electrifying energy. This former member of Daft Punk had previously collaborated with the pioneering brand, having crafted the soundtrack for their Paris show featuring the 2025 Autumn/Winter collection SCREEN.
