Fortnite One Piece Treasure Hunters mini-season launched Nov. 1, 2026, adding One Piece characters, new combat abilities and an 80-player map called Crossbones Isle, Epic Games said.
Epic Games said concurrent online users peaked at nearly 5 million across all modes on the season’s first day, with more than 2.1 million players in Battle Royale. Epic added that the near-5 million figure is an unofficial estimate that includes players in lobbies and those switching modes.

Fortnite One Piece Pirate Shop Access, how it works
One of the headline rewards in the Treasure Hunters mini-season is Pirate Shop Access, a lottery prize that, when drawn, lets winners claim eligible item-shop cosmetics for free for 14 days from activation, Epic Games said. Players who win Pirate Shop Access can activate it once in 2026 and once in 2027, and each activation begins a separate 14-day claim window.
Epic said the free-claim window applies only to qualifying items sold in the V-Bucks item shop. Cash items, gifting, and Battle Pass tiers and rewards are excluded. Companion skins, known in-game as Sidekicks, are limited to one style the player does not already own.

Epic has not published drop rates for the chests that can award Pirate Shop Access, the company said. Players who are targeting a specific cosmetic may find checking the regular item-shop rotation more practical than relying on the chest lottery.

New 80-player island increases mid-match encounters
Crossbones Isle recreates One Piece locations and features short travel distances between points of interest, which can make mid-match third-party encounters more common, Epic Games said. Players can also ride cannons to launch themselves to new locations, changing how teams rotate across the island.
Because points of interest sit closer together on the new island, a firefight finished by one team can quickly draw a nearby third team into combat. That makes post-engagement decisions, such as whether to replenish shields or move immediately, as important as which weapon a player found on landing.
Sprites, the game’s support tools, remain useful for locating chests and speeding reloads. Epic recommended returning players spend their first matches learning cannon routes and new abilities before experimenting with sprite combinations.

Luffy, Zoro and new abilities change combat tactics
The crossover adds signature One Piece moves to the battlefield: Luffy’s Gum-Gum punches can be fired across short distances, Zoro’s three-sword style is suited to close-quarters rushes, and Ace’s Flame-Flame Fruit lets players chain attacks into a finishing fire punch, Epic said. These abilities alter whether players should create space or close distance in firefights.
Treasure Hunters also includes themed rewards such as a gold A$AP Rocky outfit and an in-game Mercedes-AMG G 63 vehicle, both listed among possible chest or shop drops, Epic said. The in-match loot loop, where players open chests while looting, adds a small moment of anticipation to every match.
Release timing, Battle Pass and the chapter-end event
At launch, Luffy, Nami and Usopp were available in the item shop, while Ace and Nico Robin are included in this season’s Battle Pass, Epic said. Epic also confirmed a chapter-end event for Chapter 7 scheduled for Dec. 5, with exact start time to be announced.

Epic noted specific shop release times for additional content: the A$AP Rocky outfit goes on sale at 8 a.m. Hong Kong time on Nov. 6, 2026, and official release dates for Sidekicks including Zoro, Sanji and Chopper are Nov. 7, Epic said. Players should treat those times as local Hong Kong time when planning purchases.
Players can expect Epic to publish further details on drop rates and event timing on the official Fortnite channels, the company said.
