This season, Loewe merges menswear and womenswear, marking the first time for the duo creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez to showcase a menswear line. They’ve successfully infused their design philosophy into men’s fashion.
The Fall/Winter 2026 collection draws inspiration from the German artist Cosima von Bonin, featuring charming elements like droopy-eared puppies, playful dolphins, and wide-eyed frogs that greet everyone at the Loewe show. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez have long admired her work and were fortunate enough to spend time with her earlier. Hence, the idea of inviting her to create artwork for the runway space was born, initiating a dialogue between Cosima von Bonin’s sculptures and the collection.
Craftsmanship is the foundation for these two American designers, and it holds true for Loewe, the Spanish leather brand that is transforming into a luxury label. This season, the concept of craftsmanship goes beyond leather, embracing high-tech experimentation. For instance, there are latex 3D-printed suspender skirts and menswear tops that mimic the texture of lace and knitted fabrics, realistically presented through embossed designs.
The creative director stated: Regard ‘fun’ as a rigorous approach to experimentation and problem-solving: balancing between intuition and experience, between commitment to craftsmanship and the endless possibilities of innovation, fueled by infinite curiosity.
