Mykita RIMOWA sunglasses debut two new models, the MR007 and MR008, in a campaign film titled The Rehearsal, the brands said.
The short film casts actors Nina Hoss and Leon Dame in a spare rehearsal room, each playing multiple characters who shift identities when they change sunglasses, the companies said in a joint statement.

The Rehearsal uses quick cuts and changing light to show how a pair of glasses can alter a person’s look and mood, the brands said. The film is set in a minimalist rehearsal space, and the wardrobe relies on the eyewear to signal each role.

The Heritage line adds the MR007, a round sun model that pairs a lightweight stainless steel frame with an anodized aluminum rim, the companies said.
The MR007 is offered in Silver and Black finishes; Silver emphasizes the metal texture, while Black presents a subdued look. The Heritage line’s MR006 aviator also gains a Black option, continuing the teardrop pilot silhouette.
Visor reinterpretation
The Visor series introduces the MR008, which reinterprets a wraparound goggle with thinner, more streamlined lines, the brands said. It pairs a newly shaped curved lens structure with a MYLON eye-clip, preserving wide protective coverage while refining the silhouette.
The MR008 is shown in Cashmere Silver with Shadow Silver lenses, a unified silver palette that references industrial materials and contemporary travel style.
Production and craftsmanship
The new models were developed by teams in Cologne and Berlin, and each pair is handmade at MYKITA HAUS, the companies said. Every frame ships with a certificate of authenticity, underscoring the collaboration’s emphasis on precision and detail.
The brands did not provide global pricing or a release schedule in the statement, but said the launch reflects their shared interest in functional, design-forward travel accessories.
