The Soshi Otsuki collection unveiled its Spring 2027 lineup, The Persistence of Memory, on a theme of surreal nostalgia that reimagines traditional suiting with fluid, collapsing silhouettes, the brand said.
Designer Soshi Otsuki rooted the collection in the work of Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, breaking conventional Eastern and Western ideas of menswear to create garments that feel simultaneously undone and carefully considered.
Otsuki described the collection as an imagining of a buttoned-up father who relaxes his sartorial rules while on vacation, letting tailoring sag and flow so that structure and softness coexist.

Each piece intentionally carries a sense of being incomplete, with asymmetric lapels and bowed shapes forming a casual, refined visual language. The look pairs sturdy inner construction with a soft outer surface to produce a liquid-like motion when worn, Otsuki said.
All pieces were produced in Japan, the label said, using newly developed fabrics alongside reworked classic weaves. Wool and linen items were given two-tone dye treatments during weaving to increase visual depth, while cottons received a special dyeing process to suggest the accumulation of time, finished in muted beige, red-brown, and pale blue.
Shoe and leather collaborations
The Soshi Otsuki collection continued the brand's recent run of Japanese partnerships. SOSHIOTSUKI joined ASICS SportStyle to release a new GEL-AXIS™ FF sneaker in four bold colorways, the companies said.
In a contrasting leather pairing, the label worked with SANYO YAMACHO to reinterpret a formal Gurkha sandal in leather, creating a dress-shoe silhouette with an open, seasonal feel.
Outerwear and finishing touches
For outerwear, SOSHIOTSUKI collaborated with SANYOCOAT on a water-repellent double-breasted overcoat inspired by the designer's father's 1980s wardrobe. A cracked-grain cowhide jacket made with leather brand blackmeans added an additional texture contrast to the season.
Jewelry designer Kota Okuda contributed finishing pieces including a structured tie bar, cufflinks, and a slim sterling-silver collar stay, details the brand said were selected to sharpen the collection's overall silhouette.
The Soshi Otsuki collection balances tailoring and ease, the brand said, showing how memory and wear can be expressed through fabric, surface, and proportion.
Details on retail dates and pricing were not announced; SOSHIOTSUKI said additional information would be released through its official channels ahead of the Spring 2027 season.
