Mijia air purifier 6 Plus tracks indoor air, 810 m3/h

Mijia air purifier 6 Plus turns vague home discomfort into measurable data by reporting PM1, PM2.5, dust, temperature and humidity on its display and in the Mi Home app.

You may feel the air is stuffy even when the air conditioner is on

Summer in Hong Kong often means leaving air conditioning on for long stretches, yet the room can still feel uncomfortable: sometimes there is a musty odor, sometimes allergies flare after sleep, or a tidy living room still feels stifling. Humidity, closed windows, cooking, pet hair and household dust change indoor air slowly, and most of those changes are invisible to the eye.

Don not rely only on smell, use a Mijia air purifier

The practical value of the Mijia air purifier 6 Plus is not that households must monitor numbers constantly, but that they gain an objective basis for action. After a rainy day raises humidity, when a living room fills with guests, when pets are active indoors, or when the air conditioner has been running for hours, the device tells you if air handling should be stepped up instead of relying on a vague impression.

The new model uses a five layer composite filtration system, combining a high efficiency particle filter, an activated carbon layer and a negative ion design. Xiaomi said the product passed SGS allergen removal testing and can address common allergens such as pollen, pet hair, dust mites and mold. The activated carbon layer targets formaldehyde and TVOC. The unit also includes two UVC ultraviolet sterilization modules as an additional safeguard.

Room to room coverage: bedroom and living area

Many purifiers are quiet enough for a bedroom but do not move enough air for a living room. The Mijia air purifier 6 Plus uses a twin fan and twin filter layout; Xiaomi said its clean air delivery rate can reach 810 cubic meters per hour, and the unit is rated for spaces up to 91 square meters, about 980 square feet.

The unit supports the Mi Home app, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, so users can turn it on remotely, schedule run times and check filter life. Xiaomi lists a minimum noise level of 19.4 dB(A), letting users choose modes for sleep, pre arrival and living room use.

Xiaomi set the suggested retail price at approximately $318.62 (originally HK$2,499). The Mijia air purifier 6 Plus goes on sale Aug. 1 at Mi Home stores, on mi.com, through telecom carriers and at retail partners online and in store. For households that want to manage bedroom and living room air proactively rather than rely on a sense that the air “seems fine,” the Mijia air purifier 6 Plus offers a more tangible daily approach.
