NoxTi Tri keychain: Tritium EDC light on Kickstarter

The NoxTi Tri keychain offers battery-free, low-level tritium illumination in a slim titanium fob, weighing 15.8 grams (about 0.56 ounces).

NoxTi Tri keychain: three tubes provide visibility from any angle

The NoxTi Tri keychain accepts up to three sealed light tubes, arranged at 120-degree intervals to make the fob visible whether it sits in a cup holder or hangs from a backpack zipper.

Each tube measures 3 by 22.5 millimeters (about 0.12 by 0.89 inches). You can specify identical colors or a mixed configuration to add extra sightlines in the dark; for simple identification, a single tube already provides a useful marker.

How tritium tubes differ from rechargeable glow tubes

Tritium tubes create light when beta particles from tritium decay excite a phosphor coating inside a sealed glass tube. Tritium has a half-life of about 12.3 years, so the glow gradually fades over many years.

By contrast, rechargeable photoluminescent tubes must absorb sunlight or artificial light before they glow in the dark, and their brightness drops over hours after the lights go out. Both types are suitable for close-range marking of keys or small gear.

Light, machined titanium body with dual tube protection

The NoxTi Tri keychain body is CNC-machined from Grade 5 titanium and measures 47 by 14.3 millimeters (about 1.85 by 0.56 inches). It comes in raw sandblasted titanium or a Black DLC finish.

Inside each tube cavity a 3-millimeter silicone ball cushions the glass, and a stainless steel spring beneath that provides a second layer of shock protection. Xedge says this combination of soft and spring cushioning is designed for the daily knocks and occasional drops a key fob typically endures.

The glass tubes are user-replaceable, so you can swap a dim tube or change colors without discarding the titanium body.

Xedge also says it tested the product between minus 20 degrees Celsius and 100 degrees Celsius, although the company has not published the full test duration or pass criteria. Real-world cold- and heat-resistance will depend on the final test report.

Practical details and the break-glass bead

The top lug accepts a key ring, quick link, or neck chain for attachment to keys or bag zippers. The tail end features a ceramic bead intended as an emergency glass-breaker, but Xedge cautions that effectiveness will vary by glass type and use.

Pricing on Kickstarter and shipping notes

On Kickstarter the introductory price for the titanium body is $35, Xedge lists. With one tritium tube the total is $55, and a three-tube bundle is $95.

The campaign page shows a Hong Kong figure of about 740 HKD for the three-tube package; using the HKD to USD conversion rate of 0.1275, that amount converts to approximately $94.35 (originally 740 HKD).

Rechargeable photoluminescent tubes cost $7 each, with a three-pack at $15. Black DLC finishing, neck chains, and titanium quick links are sold separately. The Kickstarter campaign estimates shipping in February 2027.

Kickstarter backers are offered worldwide free shipping, but Xedge notes that tritium tubes are regionally restricted. Buyers should confirm with Xedge whether their chosen configuration can be shipped to their country and meet local import rules before purchasing.
