Apple Watch student discount is now available year round in more than 21 markets, Apple said, bringing education pricing and UNiDAYS verification to university students and staff in regions across the Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.

Apple said the program offers up to about 10 percent off at participating Apple education stores for eligible students, faculty, and staff. The company listed markets in three groups: Asia Pacific, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam; Europe and the Middle East, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, India, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey; and the Americas, including the United States, Canada, and Chile.
Apple Watch student discount, verification and who qualifies
Apple said it is strengthening eligibility checks in multiple markets by requiring UNiDAYS online student verification in Australia, Hong Kong, Turkey, the United States, Canada, and Chile. UNiDAYS is a third party student verification service that confirms enrollment using a school email, student ID, or other education documents.
According to Apple, most users will pass UNiDAYS verification immediately. Applicants who require manual review will receive a result within 24 hours, the company said in a statement.

Apple noted that the move formalizes the education store as a student and faculty benefit in markets that had previously allowed looser access. In the United States, Apple previously allowed purchases through the education store without a formal verification requirement, the company said, and the new UNiDAYS step raises the program’s exclusivity.
Health features framed for high stress academic periods
Apple described the Apple Watch Series 11 and watchOS 11 features as targeted tools for users undergoing periods of high stress such as exam preparation. The company said the Vitals app can monitor heart rate, respiratory rate, wrist temperature, and blood oxygen while a user sleeps, and it will alert the wearer when several nights of combined readings show concerning changes.
Apple also highlighted a new Training Load metric in watchOS 11 that tracks accumulated fatigue over seven and 28 day windows. The company said the metric is designed to show changes in fitness when users cut back on activity during busy study stretches, delivering data driven prompts to manage recovery rather than simple step counts.

Classroom friendly controls and silent operation
Apple said watchOS adds a Double Tap gesture that, when combined with Focus mode, lets students handle notifications without raising a wrist or touching the display. The company said the Digital Crown’s tactile feedback helps users confirm actions such as silencing alerts or acknowledging reminders with physical certainty that a purely touch interface cannot provide.
Models and pricing, with Hong Kong examples
Apple’s education pricing varies by market. Using Apple Hong Kong’s education store pricing as an example, Apple lists the three current models and starting prices as follows:
- Apple Watch SE 3: HK$1,799 and up, approximately $230 (an entry model that omits advanced sensors in order to achieve a more affordable price)
- Apple Watch Series 11: HK$2,890 and up, approximately $370 (the full featured option with an always on display and the complete health sensor suite)
- Apple Watch Ultra 3: HK$5,799 and up, approximately $740 (titanium case designed for extreme outdoor use and high intensity training)
Apple said eligible purchasers may also receive a free Apple Fitness+ trial during the promotional period, subject to the terms and conditions posted on Apple’s official site.

For students weighing the options, Apple said the choice hinges on which sensors and casing materials they value most. The company added that hands on reviews and full device testing will appear soon.
