MGM Macau beer festival will return in 2026 with a new twist, pairing German beer and live Bavarian music with Cantonese pop DJ nights at MGM Cotai, organizers said.
The MGM Macau beer festival, billed this year as “MGM Macau German Beer Festival 2026,” runs Oct. 28 to Nov. 8 at MGM Cotai and will be open from 6 p.m. to midnight each night, the hotel said in a statement.
The event will stretch across 12 evenings and aims to blend a traditional Oktoberfest atmosphere with late-night party programming. Paulaner will be on tap, alongside nonalcoholic beer and specialty drinks.
Organizers said the biggest change this year is a stronger music focus. In addition to a German band performing live, the festival will host Cantonese pop DJ nights on two dates, bringing a local soundtrack to the beer garden experience.
Highlights and music
German band SAKRISCH GUAT, which has more than 15 years of touring experience, will appear in Macau for the first time. The group plans to play a mix of Bavarian music, international pop covers, and Mandarin classics, the statement said.
On Oct. 30 and 31 the festival will stage a special Cantonese pop DJ party produced by Cantomania, which will stitch together hits from different decades so guests can hear familiar Cantonese songs while drinking German beer.
Food and atmosphere
The festival will be held on an outdoor platform at MGM Cotai, with a giant themed tent and long wooden tables and benches to recreate an Oktoberfest gathering. Food will follow a classic German route, including roasted pork knuckle, roast chicken, and salted pretzels.
Organizers said the format is meant to feel like a large friends gathering, with carnival games and interactive experiences alongside live music, food, and beer.
Schedule and how to attend
The festival spans two weekends, with doors opening at 6 p.m. nightly and the program running until midnight. Guests who want the Cantonese DJ party should plan for Oct. 30 or 31, while other evenings offer a more traditional German beer-festival experience.
Tickets go on public sale Sept. 28. General admission is approximately $22.50 (originally MOP 180) on ordinary nights, and approximately $35.00 (originally MOP 280) for Oct. 30 and 31, MGM Cotai said. Each ticket includes one drink, excluding champagne. Children age 9 and under may enter free, but no seat is provided.
Table reservations carry a minimum spend. For A zone seating the minimum is approximately $43.75 on weekdays (originally MOP 350) and approximately $56.25 on weekends and Oct. 30 and 31 (originally MOP 450). B zone minimums are approximately $31.25 on weekdays and $43.75 on weekends. C zone minimums are approximately $25.00 on weekdays and $31.25 on weekends. D zone does not require a minimum spend, and seating is allocated on site.
