Tag Heuer Indy 500 Formula 1 Solargraph limited edition marks the Indianapolis 500’s 110th anniversary and will be produced in a run of 1,110 pieces, the company said.
The new Formula 1 Solargraph x Indy 500 continues the line’s recent focus on a 38 mm stainless steel case and three-row steel bracelet, proportions the brand says are balanced for both men and women. TAG Heuer kept the profile clean and sporty, trading the series’ usual bright colors for a more subdued black and brown palette that echoes race machinery and asphalt.
Tag Heuer Indy 500 styling details
The bezel uses a black TH-Polylight bidirectional rotating insert with a brown 60-minute scale, a motif TAG Heuer said is inspired by the flywheel graphic in the Indy 500 emblem. The dial shows a black opaline texture with an outer brown minute track to add depth, and a central red seconds hand designed to read like a final sprint across the finish line.
Branding, legibility, and lume
The Indy 500 logo appears at the six o’clock position to underline the collaboration, while the 12 o’clock, six o’clock, and nine o’clock markers retain the Formula 1 shield shape familiar to the collection. TAG Heuer equipped the watch with Mercedes-style hands, a date window, and Super-LumiNova on all hands and markers so the time remains clear in low light.
According to TAG Heuer, those visual cues preserve the Formula 1 family identity while signaling the Indy 500 tie-in for racing fans and collectors.
Solargraph movement and performance
The watch runs TAG Heuer’s TH50-00 solar-powered movement, a key feature of the Formula 1 Solargraph line. The company says just one minute of direct sunlight provides about 24 hours of power, and a full charge sustains operation for up to 10 months in complete darkness.
TAG Heuer noted that the solar system reduces battery changes and routine service, and that the movement restarts after long idle periods with only a short exposure to light.
Water resistance, caseback, limited run, and price
The watch has an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and is rated to 100 meters of water resistance, the brand said. The screw-down caseback is engraved with the Indy 500 logo and a checkered-flag motif to reinforce the race connection.
Limited to 1,110 pieces, the Formula 1 Solargraph x Indy 500 will be offered globally as a collectible for motorsport enthusiasts. The model number is WBY111G.BA0042.
