The Zenith Chronomaster Skeleton was unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2026, where Zenith showcased a skeletonized Chronomaster that exposes its El Primero high frequency chronograph movement and debuts a new ZENCLASP trademark folding clasp, Zenith said.

At the heart of the new model is the El Primero 3600SK movement, a skeletonized version of Zenith’s El Primero 3600 caliber that runs at 5 Hz, or 36,000 vibrations per hour, and drives a chronograph seconds hand that completes a full rotation every 10 seconds, Zenith said.
Zenith Chronomaster Skeleton, the movement and the readout
The El Primero 3600SK keeps the series signature high frequency, and with its central chronograph seconds hand circling in 10 seconds the watch, paired with a ceramic bezel marked in 10 second increments, allows a direct reading of 1/10 second timing on the wrist, Zenith said.

Through the dial and caseback the movement shows a blued column wheel and a horizontal clutch, together with a silicon escape wheel intended to improve stability and durability, the brand said. The movement offers about 60 hours of power reserve, and it includes a seconds stop mechanism for precise setting.
Skeleton dial and legibility
The dial uses a black sapphire crystal outer ring that graduates to full transparency toward the center, making the mechanical architecture visible while preserving a clear time display. The three chronograph subdials keep the collection’s trademark gray, carbon gray, and blue palette, echoing earlier Chronomaster designs.
Applied baton hour markers and faceted hands are coated in C1 Super-LumiNova, which Zenith said maintains legibility even with the openwork construction. A skeletonized rotor is engraved with Zenith’s star emblem to boost visual transparency while preserving winding efficiency.

Case design, dimensions and water resistance
The case measures 41 millimeters across, with alternating satin finished and polished surfaces that give the watch crisp, forward moving lines. The diameter is about 1.6 inches, a size Zenith said aims to balance daily wear and sport use.
Pump pushers follow classic chronograph styling, and the ceramic bezel carries the 10 second scale that works with the 1/10 second readout. The case is rated to 100 meters of water resistance, roughly 328 feet, suitable for everyday and sport wear.

Model range and materials
Zenith said the Chronomaster Sport Skeleton will be offered in four versions. Two stainless steel models are available, one with a green ceramic bezel and a gray chronograph dial, the other with a black ceramic bezel and the three color subdial layout, each supplied with a three link bracelet and a rubber strap option.
There is also an 18K rose gold model supplied with a black rubber strap, and a limited edition run of 10 rose gold pieces with a gold bracelet and a bezel set with 50 baguette cut diamonds, Zenith said.
ZENCLASP trademark folding clasp
Alongside the skeleton Chronomaster release, Zenith introduced the ZENCLASP trademark folding clasp, a new technical feature the brand plans to roll out across more Chronomaster models, the company said.
The ZENCLASP structure is made from 41 components and includes 10 ceramic balls used to enhance locking and positioning. The clasp has a security cover and an integrated locking system, and its micro adjustment lets wearers change fit without tools, in 2.5 millimeter increments up to a total of 10 millimeters.
Zenith said the clasp took three years to develop, including about 1,800 hours of design and testing, and it passed more than 600,000 open and close cycles to meet long term use requirements.
What Zenith says and when it ships
Zenith provided the specifications and development details in its Watches and Wonders presentation, and said the ZENCLASP will be progressively fitted to additional Chronomaster models. The brand did not announce broad market pricing or a global ship date at the event.
Watch collectors and retailers attending Watches and Wonders 2026 will see the Zenith Chronomaster Skeleton on display, and Zenith representatives will handle orders and inquiries, the company said.
