The Ordinary Hong Kong opened its second dedicated store on the ground floor at 42A Hollywood Road in Central (a historic street in Hong Kong), expanding its local retail presence beyond its first outlet at Times Square in Causeway Bay.

The Ordinary Hong Kong brings one on one consultations to Soho
The new Soho shop aims to make the brand’s ingredient transparency and clinical formula approach more accessible to local customers. The store offers one on one skincare consultations with a professionally trained team that customizes recommendations by skin type and concerns.

Consultants guide customers through product pairings and step by step routines, and explain how different active ingredients work together. The service is designed to help shoppers build a personalized regimen and deepen their understanding of formulations.
Local art and neighborhood history shape the store design
The shop design incorporates elements of Hollywood Road and Soho (a compact Central neighborhood known for galleries and creative venues). The brand commissioned local artist Cherie Kwok to create a feature mural that references the area’s history, independent galleries, and creative community.

The mural and pared back interior add a local dimension to the minimalist retail space, offering customers a fresh in store experience while they shop and learn about products. The layout also creates areas for product testing and private consultations.
The Ordinary’s global vice president, Amy Bi, said in a statement that the brand has seen how physical stores help build community since the opening of its first Hong Kong shop. She said the combination of history, creativity, and neighborhood character on Hollywood Road made it the right location for the second dedicated store.
Bi added that the new store is intended to help more people try the products, and to make it easier for customers to access skincare knowledge and learn how different ingredients perform. The Ordinary Hong Kong plans to use the space for education as well as retail.
